Can you download a virtual console game without using the Wii shop channel?
I’m currently having trouble hooking up internet connection and I REALLY want this one game on Virtual Console. Is there like a legal site where I can enter the code for the wii points and I can like download it to my wii?

You need your Wii to be modified with a mod-chip before you play games or movies.
Of course it can play any game of your own, and any movie (also DivX as you asked) as you wish after you get your wii mod-chip installed!
It’s a very mature technical now so it won’t have problem if you get your wii modified.
Also you can download any PAL or NTSC Wii game as you wish online now.
About the downloading and backup and copy games service: There are serveral sites providing such download services. They are very excellent on the contents, not only Complete big Wii games like Metroid, LOR, American Idols and Guitar Heroes etc. But also many movies, Wii tv shows, music and videos much more!!!
All you need is to join one of those sites to download so many resources. So you can download all those media as you wish!
And some sites can provide simple software help you to burn the ISO Games into DVDs, it is very easy and fast. After the instructions by them, you can go ahead to play those games you burned onto your Wii.

Is it legal to download a show from a site if I own the DVDs?
I would be making a music video with songs I’ve legally bought. It’d be for my own entertainment, not for a site. I just can’t get the clips onto WMM from my DVDs.
I mean downloading the video itself.

Actually, that first answer is sooooo wrong. You did not ‘purchase the license’, that is so ridiculous. People pay millions for license rights, not $17.99.
When you purchase a CD or DVD you purchase the media as it’s presented ‘in that format’, and for that only. Otherwise, I could buy a videotape of a movie and then just take a DVD copy because I already paid for the movie in another format? No, I couldn’t. It’s the same with downloading.
Any way you slice it, it’s illegal to download any copywritten material that isn’t purchased as a download or provided free by a website, whether it’s for personal use only or other use. Even if you already own the video and want to download it.
That being said, if you want to get the clips from your DVDs, you first have to convert them to a digital format. Then you can save them on your hard drive and use them with WMM.

What website will let me download films to a disk with out breaking my laptop?
I know what websites I can watch films on for free but what ones can I download the films on for free with it out breaking my laptop?

If you don’t want to “break” your laptop (I assume you talk about vira and other nasty stuff that gets on your computer) I recommend you look at little deeper into downloading, and how to be more careful of what you expose your machine to.
I don’t know if you want to obey the law about piracy or not, it is possible to watch movies online for free legally, but your selection is limited. I don’t know any legal sites to watch movies online, but I do know that piracy gives you a much better chance at making sure what stuff you get on your computer, and your choices are obviously a lot bigger.
However, Yahoo Anwers doesn’t approve of it since its obviously not legal (Please note that “downloading” is NOT synonymous with “piracy” or “illegal”, you CAN download things legally with some of the programs available! Its WHAT you download that makes the difference, not weather or not you do so). Google or other websites will probably help you with this.
Teaching yourself to do this right will also prevent any risk of you ‘breaking’ your laptop 🙂

I have searched and searched and the only thing I find is Beverly hills cop 3. I want to watch them from the beginning to the end. I do not want to have to download them though. If there is anyplace where I can watch them for free, and no download please let me know. Thank you.
