Nearly every video editor ever made can do this – that’s what they do.

How the various editors visualize what you’re doing is different though.

In editors like Windows Movie Maker you import the longer video into your project. You can preview it and split the video into chunks which appears as separate pieces of file. You then drag those down to the timeline and put them together.

In others, like Adobe Premiere, you import the longer video into the project then in the preview pane add in and out markers. When you drag the video from the preview pane into the timeline only that part between the markers is used. You can add the longer original video to the preview and add more markers as many times as you like.

Once you’ve got your viedeo clips put together and added your transitions, effects and titles you then render the finished video. All this means is that the editor takes all the clips and creates a ingle new video file. This is very intensive work for a computer and if you’re using an older or middling one, this could take a while.

You can upload that file to Youtube or whatever or even burn it onto a DVD that you can watch using a TV. This usually means another piece of sofware that is capable of DVD authoring. Again these range from free like Windows DVD Maker and DVDFlick to the $800 Adobe Encore.

The Opal Book Club, The Bronconator, and My Beautiful SUV (one of my hobbies is off-road driving) are made from multiple video files that were edited together.

If you want to explore video editing then there’s no reason to spend anything as there are some very good free editors around. Most compete very well with the sub-$100 commercial software.

Most DVD Copies of movies are Around 700-1300 MB and get bigger depending on if they are HD quality or not. A DVD can hold up to 4.5GB on average so it could be up to that size. It also depends on the length of the DVD vs. The size of the file. If a movie is 700 mb and is 1 hr long it would be better quality than a movie that is 700 mb and 2 hrs long. Same exact size but one is twice as large.

Use a good torrent site to download the torrents. Feel free to email me if you are looking for a good/safe torrent site.

P2P Malware Protection
Regular antivirus will not protect you from malware downloaded using P2P because you have to click on unknown files and cross your fingers and hope your antivirus will block the nasties that’s attached to the Warez. (Pirated music,movies and Apps?)

You can scan the files before you open them but it isn’t reliable and malware and especially root kits slips by the scans!

Yes, it is legal. Technically, if it’s for private use, you can do whatever you want with it. You own it. It’s just that the companies don’t really want you doing it since it increases the risk of piracy. However, as long as you aren’t giving it to anybody else, it’s perfectly legal.

However, it’s hard to copy them. After a lot of experimentation, I figured out how to do it. This is really the fastest process, and I have included detailed instructions so it should be impossible to get confused, however, if you do, feel free to email me using the the regular Yahoo! Answers contact system.

If you want to do this, follow these steps:
1. Http://dvdshrink.softwarecenterz.com/ and download DVD Shrink. It is a great program. I think it is free from this website. If it isn’t, just google “DVD Shrink” and look for a free site, it is freeware, so you can get it for free somewhere.

2. Install DVD Shrink

3. Once it is installed, you should insert the DVD you want to copy into your DVD drive. Then open DVD Shrink. Than click on “open disc” and select your disc. Once it is done analyzing your disc, click on “Re-Author”. Then look under “Main Movie” there will usually be only one title under this, if there is more than one, you can click on them and watch them on the viewer to find out which is the movie. After finding out which one is the movie, drag it to the other side where it says “DVD Structure”.

4. After doing this, you may choose to change the compression settings to make the file smaller, if you wish to do this, keep reading, if you don’t, skip to step 5. Click on “Compression Settings” Uncheck all of the audio and subscripture except for the one that you want to listen to (usually the first one under English). Then change the video compression ratio (under video) to “custom ratio”. I find that approximately 55% is more than sufficient quality.

5. Now click on “Backup!” at the top. Select “Hard Disk Folder” as the Backup Target. Then choose where you want to save your movie. Be sure to check “Create VIDEO TS and AUDIO TS Subfolders”. Finally press “OK”

6. You now have your DVD on your computer. If you would like to make it able to play in itunes or on your ipod, keep reading.

7. Next you will need to download a program called 3GP Converter. Go to http://www.videohelp.com/tools/3GP_Converter Then Click on Mirror Download, it seems to be more reliable. Next install the program.

8. Go to where you have 3GP converter saved, and click on “setup.exe” once in this program, scroll down until you see “Model: MP4, for PSP”. Click on it, then click on Apply. If a message comes up, click yes. Then the program will open. You may change the quality if you which, I like to set mine on QVGA/29.97fps/768kbps Stereo/128kbps. Then change your output directory to the location where you would like to save your movie. Next, open the folder where you saved your movie in step 5. Then find the largest VTS file in the “VIDEO TS” folder. Drag this movie into the 3GP converter “Drag and Drop Here” box. Wait for your movie to convert.

9. Once the movie has converted, open itunes and clock on file, import. Then find the place where you saved your movie in step 8. Now your movie is in itunes, and will be copied to your ipod next time you plug it in.

Most of the time if it says http”s”:// the “S” stands for secure.

I have a habit of sometimes drinking then looking for old movies, like “the legend of billie jean” among some books, songs,. Etc., anything that sparks my fancy, online.

Ive bought a pair of shoes off of Ebay that they dont sell anymore in stores, so long as it has the “S” ure good.

Ive even ordered things off the walmart and target pages. As long as u have a good anti virus program and dont surf the web much for icky stuffs (you know what i mean), really, ure safe.

If u get emails n such that say they require u to update ur info, (sometimes i get things from bank of america, wells fargo, etc.), anything that ASKS for info, usually in an email, dont do it, call the company first.. Plan and simple….

I cant tell ya how many times ive called companies to tell them i have recieved a phony email. A secure “httpS” site, etc, will NOT ask u to input ur info….unless u are buying.

Ebay, amazon, sites like that, or any other site for that matter that u purchase things from DOES NOT ask u to repeat ur info.. I ALWAYS turn those fake sites in. (fake sites are those that have an http address that does not involve the address (microsoft, or take u to a ip address, like 75.68.112. Whatever, arent good.

I actually just got an error on a site that told me to download something for windows media, u CANT click on the LINKS usually, and it said MICROSOFT made it.

I called them for no reason other than to tell them the site, it linked me to, was fake, ecause i knew it wasnt them, the ADDRESS did not invovle the www.microsoft.com address…

Buying online is great!!! Dont let it detour u. Bascially, IF YOU ARENT SURE DONT DO IT!
