I won’t recomend what you are doing, but I will tell you some things I know about how files are executed.

Windows has a way of running files depending on their type, if I am correct. For example Audio / Video file would open in a way that, even if there was some thing bad attached to it, it wouldn’t run. This is because, we don’t need a Audio/Video file to be a program.

So opening a audio/video file should be safe.

I wish I could site the source, but I don’t remember where I picked it up.

Virus, well you can get infected just by plugging your USB stick to the drive.

Make sure you have up-to-date, capable antivirus software.

TV shows are all in horrible quality. But you can get torrents, that’s the easiest way. Download utorrent and go to piratebay. Make sure you download whatever it is you need that has the HIGHEST seeds.

But if you want to download movies in 720p or above, you can either:

-Use torrents
-Try this (read below)

Download Jdownloader, a software that allows you to copy links and download them. Anything at all. Youtube, mediafire, megaupload etc.

However, the best way to get movies REALLY quickly is to go to google, type in “mediafire movies” and go some of the websites listed on the first page (too many so couldn’t mention em). Look for 720p movies and/or BRip tags so only those movies will show up, and whilst having the Jdownloader program on, just go over to the mediafire links and copy the URL down, it will automatically run it in that program so there’s no need to paste.

At the bottom there should be 3 little text boxes that say “1” change those to whatever you want, i usually put 7 or 8. This way it will download 7 or 8 files at a time, with each file having nearly the same download speed. The good thing is that mediafire allows you to download multiple files at once. There are around 3-5 parts for each film on average, so in about 2 hours you’ll probably have 6 movies downloaded (depending on your connection) with excellent quality.

As for the tv shows, like i said most are at a horrible resolution, same with torrents. I always rent the TV shows on DVD instead.

I have had good luck finding music on BitTorrent sites. BitTorrent is an Internet protocol for moving very large files. It’s not the same as P2P (limewire and such), but it relies on other users in the BitTorrent community leaving their music files available. I have often been frustrated by downloading a song or album only to find that after it downloads 95%, it stops because not enough BitTorrent seeders have kept the files available. The upside to BitTorrents are that they download extremely fast!

You’ll need a BitTorrent client to download torrents. I use Azureus. It’s a free and very nice client application that you can get here…

Finally, I have had great luck finding unknown artists by using an NNTP News Server. NNTP is an old Bulletin Board type of protocol. NNTP means Network News Transport Protocol. But the NNTP community has evolved into about 50,000 different ‘channels’ that cover every imaginable subject and there is a way to ‘encode’ binary files to place them on these NNTP groups. For music, music is grouped into different ‘genres’. For example, I download Jazz and Reggae from two different channels. It is not easy to find any particular song or artist, so I just download everything in a group and often find songs and artists that I’ve never heard of before.

To download music from NNTP groups, you’ll need a News Reader. There are some free ones out there. I use this one…

I’m guessing you’re looking to download things for free (movies, music, ringtones, etc.). Cause I’ve been through the same damned thing.

I think it’s due to several reasons. First being that most “free” download sites are infested with ads, some with viruses/phishing scams, and only lure you with the promise of free stuff.

Two, most sites with free/technically illegal downloads may have at some time actually had the download you were searching for, but was discovered by someone who actually owns the legal rights to the item being downloaded, and the link was then deactivated/deleted.
The reason these deactivated sites/links still claim to have the download is probably because these underground sites are not well-maintained or updated.

Bootleg versions usually suck anyway.

These are torrent sharing sites, and are indeed illegal under the copyright you agree to when you buy a cd you are not allowed to make copies or distribute them. You are also not allowed to download material you have not paid a fee for, otherwise how would an artist get paid and be able to keep on producing. So in short it is indeed illegal and there can be hefty and great or even humongous fines and penalties to this, there have been many cases stated in the press and a quick google of this turns up some horror stories. Perhaps a good way to think of it is that the solicitors in the usa ask for about 8000 per song you download in damages, so for 8gb thats the house and the car and earnings for the best part of 20 years gone right there. Stop now, if they have already had a letter then they are already on the list of offenders that are no doubt being monitored, it is easy once you are known for the authorities to track your activity. To make your provider give details of activity and from that they can tell what they have downloaded and when. As for the movies thats whole different game and allot more money.

If they have already had a notice and cease and desist then stop now… Stay legal stick to valid retailers and online stores that show clear copyright warnings and terms of service.

Each drawing/frame will be like a slide. Import them and put them in order in Movie Maker and put the Song on the Audio line. Use the Preview Window to play through one lyric and click to stop it. Move the cursor over the right side of the “slide” until it turns into a double-headed arrow, click and drag the slide to where the lyric ended. (I hope you’re using XP’s or Vista’s Movie Maker because this is a lot easier to do with a Timeline.) You have to do this for each lyric you’re illustrating. And then you’ll probably still have to tweak it a bit.

Yes, it’s time consuming. After doing a couple of movies and some gif animations, I read that it took 2 months to complete a 30 second computer-generated commercial and I could believe it! Doing even the simplest video or, in your case, doing everything from scratch and then having to sync (pronounced “sink”, short for synchronize) the audio with the drawings, will give you a new respect for CG (computer generated) ads and movies. Imagine spending months and months and months doing it;-)

If you have Windows 7 and Windows Live Movie Maker, you can also download and use Vista’s version 6.0. Oops! I think I misread your question. (How are you going to animate your drawings?) You have to time each lyric of the song and then plan the number of frames for each lyric using the framerate you plan to use for the animation. You can usually change the framerate using your animation software.

Example: A lyric lasts 10 seconds and your frame rate is 24 frames per second. This is 10 X 24 or 240 frames. Which means you want to decrease the frame rate to maybe 10 frames per second so you only have to do 100 frames. Yikes! This is still a lot of drawing… It all depends on the animation software you use. If it allows key frames, you’ll only really need to draw the key frames and the computer will fill in the frames between them.

You can’t move the video that you used RealPlayer to download from the RealPlayer screen because the video isn’t stored there it is stored in the RealPlayer Downloads file under your user name. Now to save problems working with this video in Movie Maker we first want to convert it to a wmv format. RealPlayer can do this. First open RealPlayer and click to play the video and then place your cursor on the video as it plays and then click Full Screen. As quick as it goes to full screen you’ll see covert at the bottom, click on that. Now in the window that opens you’ll see Convert To and to the left an arrow, click on that and another window will open. Click on Motorola Droid and then on Details beside it. When the next window opens make sure that under Video Details it reads Fromat–Windows Media and under Audio Details it reads Format–Windows Media Audio and then click OK. And click OK in the next window. Now in this window under the Convert To you’ll see Save In. It should say Save in Same Directory, if not correct it. Now click the green Start button and let it run. When complete close that window and RealPlayer.

Now go to your Start Menu and click on your user name. Go over and click on My Videos. When this library opens click on RealPlayer Downloads and locate the video in the list that is in a wmv format.
