Should I be jealous, or am I overreacting?

Basically I just had a baby. Im 22 and I like to go out maybe once a week, grab a drink or a local show at a bar.. I also have a 4 year old. I realize that having a newborn baby is a big responsibility, but I am a little jealous of my fiance”s actions lately.

He is in this band.. and hes been doing like 2 shows a week that I cant attend because I am home with the newborn. Hes looking for work at the moment, but besides that all his free time is spent either with the band playing shows, or on the computer downloading movies or music.

I dont have many friends, but the ones I do have are really close.

I also feel that (and I know this is my fault) that if I leave the baby with him for a night (which by the way he is okay with) that he will have a hard time. Like no one is able to comfort the baby like me..

Im just upset that we cant spend any time together other then at home.. Money is tight.. And he gets alot more nights out then me.

Should I feel jealous?

Hi. I downloaded the Amazon Kindle app and Amazon and was wondering what are some good free books? I like suspense, horror, action, fantasy, etc. my favorite books are The Hunger Games series. I read the books long before the movie came out so don’t give me that crap. And I loved the Cirque Du Freak series as well. If I helps I’m a 19 year old girl. Lol. Thanks!

Which version of the new Xbox should I get?

I hate when I see a bunch of friends getting a new console and it makes me feel impulsive and I end up getting the same console, but that’s whats happened and I need some assistance in deciding which model of the xbox 360 I should get.

I got an old “Arcade” version of the xbox. For those that do not know, it was something that attempted to increase the sales of consoles by lowering the price to $200 – $250 back then. Long story short, its of virtually no use beyond paper weight or something similar.

Right as it seems, I have enough possibly for the 4gb version, but I don’t know if I should get the 4gb or the 250.

Here’s what I plan to do if I have a new console:

– Play at most possibly under 10-12 titles (individual games via disc) and holding the save data until I finish it, once I finish the game and see no replay value on keeping save data I’ll delete it. Note: I may play COD, GOW, or BF3, haven’t decided yet since I’m not that much into shooters.
– Netflix – I often watch netflix a lot on computer and ps3, so having access to it on the xbox would be ideal
-Xbox live – I have never tried XBL and with free wifi I think I will this time.

What I will not do with the system:

– Heavy downloading of map packs or demos
– Downloading movies or games from XBL

I’m not a huge gamer, hence why I listed possible titles totaling only to 10-12. Even on ps3, I only have under 6 games, 2 of which are imports. I’m not skilled with FPS, but with summer, I have time to practice and play, so I might get into it, but not to where I’d do what friends call GB.

Some of my final concerns are if there’s an update that’s going to be too much for the 4gb or something like that. I know it is ridiculous to think up of something like that, but I’d like to know from those who have either models which suits me given the information given.

With the information provided, I hope you can help me decide either between the 4gb or the 250gb.

WHY DOES MY WiNDOWS MOVIE MAKER FREEZE WHEN I TRY TO SAVE THE VIDEO?

It happened on my old computer, and it’s happening on this one too! I make a movie, add movie files or pictures, music sometimes, sometimes subtitles. I click “save project as” and save the project no problem. But when i’m finished making it, and i click “save to my computer” it freezes. it never says “save in high quality” or anything like that. As soon as I click anything like save to computer, save to disk, to internet, etc, it freezes. THEN when i close it because its not responding so I click end now, whenever i right click something to copy, paste, properties, anything, if i click for example copy, the little highlighted blue bar that says “copy” stays in front of all my programs until i restart the computer. once this started, i used movie maker on the guest account, but it freezed there too one day.
Anyone know what to do?
Is there a video making software free EXACTLY like movie maker i can download?

iTunes Trouble?! PLEASE HELP RIGHT NOW!?

Ok, so it’s late and I rented a movie on iTunes. When it goes to download under ‘Downloads’, an iTunes error comes up saying…
‘All downloads have been paused. The disk you are attempting to use is full. Removing files and emptying the recycling bin will free up additional space.’
So I deleted some old videos, movies, TV shows, etc. off of my iTunes. Then went to the Recycling Bin, emptyed it, and still it doesn’t work.
When it says clear up some files, what files does it mean? HELP?!

Is it alright to let my 12 year old and 10 year old cousins to use Ubuntu Linux than Windows XP?

Hi. I have these cousins; they have a computer which runs Windows XP. But their computer is really (really) slow. So I was wondering if it is okay to replace their Windows XP with a Ubuntu Linux.

Because, Ubuntu uses less memory (at least that’s what I heard) and all its components are free, that includes an anti-virus and lots of games.

All they can initially do with their computer is: play light games, watch movies (which they get from me) and surf the web. BUT, they still manage to get their computer broken. (Software-wise, I speak.)

However, Ubuntu has its complexity side as well. You can see it by just looking at it. (Or probably because Windows has a larger community than Ubuntu.)

I can just tell them “not to do this”, “not to click that” , “do not download and/or install anything because it will not work”. I think they will listen to me saying those things.

So, tell me, is it alright to change their operating system from Windows XP to Ubuntu Linux?

P.S. If you could be more polite and add a phrase describing your answer which surly will be “yea do it” / “CRUSH AND BURN!!!!” / “try giving him a free-ipad.com” — I will be very happy.
Additional details: The size of their hard drive is approximately 30GB
They can’t play games such as Call of Dudy because as what I mentioned on my question; their computer is really *really* slow. As I recall, their RAM is 258MB.

1) I support the complete decriminalization of the following:

-Abortion

-Drug possession/usage: I say we ought to legalize all drugs and grant general amnesty to anyone convicted of non-violent drug offences, while keeping people informed of the risks in taking drugs.

-Euthanasia, both voluntary and non-voluntary (i.e. when the patient is in a permanent vegetative state).

-Homosexuality, which means I believe same-sex couples should be allowed to get married.

-Polygamy, presuming it is mutually agreed upon between all involved parties (not that I’d support prosecution against people who commit adultery).

-Pornography (except child pornography).

-Prostitution.

2) I believe the drinking age should be lowered to 16. I also think the age of consent should be set to 14 years of age, with sexual relations between consenting teenage partners allowed if there is a five year age difference (14 year olds can legally have sex with 19 year olds); that said, I believe consenting partners ages 18 and up should be allowed to have sexual relations without any legal restrictions. I support allowing adolescents aged 12 and up to purchase R-rated movies and M-rated games without parental consent.

3) I’m almost entirely opposed to copyright laws; I believe people should be allowed to reproduce any material they see fit, so long as they attribute it to the original author. I also think people should be allowed to download music, movies, and books for free online (provided the initial author or artist receives royalty checks from websites that host their content). That said, I think plagiarism and fraud should generally be dealt with as misdemeanours (presuming it was for non-profit reasons), with fines not exceeding $500. Making profit off of somebody else’s work and identity theft should also be consider misdemeanours, but the consequences for doing so should be much more serious (hefty fines, possibly a bit of prison time). Fair use is ridiculous; people should be allowed to reproduce and distribute album covers, book covers, and any other licensed image or text without any sort of restrictions.

4) I support freedom of speech, broadly construed. Whether you support world peace, oppose the government, hate religion, or deny the Holocaust, you should be allowed to express your views openly and publicly without any legal repercussions. The only exception to this that I can think of is fraud, especially with regards to the media.

5) I 100% support socialized health care and education, while still allowing free market enterprises to operate in either industry. I support having a flat tax rate across the board: a 30% income tax, no cuts for the wealthy, no ceilings. Corporations should not be given any exemptions. How would I fund social services such as health care, education, and welfare? By cutting defence spending in half and allocating most of that money to education and health care.

6) I am opposed to the death penalty in all circumstances. I believe the highest penalty should be life in maximum security prison without the possibility of parole.

7) I believe smoking should be allowed in private institutions (bars, restaurants, etc).

8) I’m generally in favour of a non-interventionalist policy, with some exceptions (eg. I supported the intervention in Libya, I retrospectively support the Gulf War).

9) I believe society should be built on a secular framework, allowing people to believe whatever they want without imposing it on others.

It’s too hard to elaborate on all my beliefs. That’s just a shortlist. What word should I use to describe myself?

What kind of Computer?

so i want to major in animation. haven’t decided on 2D or 3D. My old computer is 80gigs and i share it with my brother. I’m about to buy a new computer with more gigs (500) so i can do work while my brother has room to download movies and music and i had a few questions.
1) Does it matter what kind of computer i get. The computer I have currently can’t really hand more than one or two programs as a time. Am I gonna need one with better processing, RAM, graphics, etc.
2) Does anybody recommend any programs for starters (free is preferred).
3) How much would the computer cost
Im a college freshman so i don’t have too much money. around $500 is good. no more than $1000. also what are the pros and cons to buying the parts and buying a pre made computer

what rip-and-burn software is better than windows media player? i mean cd copies?

wmp refuses to copy a lot of my stuff. old cds, make that, very old cds. wmp works great with slime to download and burn. but this ripping music cds is giving me trouble. i rip-and-burn movies with absolutely not trouble using dvdcloner 4, just one click. but i am having more trouble with music cds? i would like to edit the cds and just take the tracks i want. is there a free download that will do that or do i have pay? COMPUTER MEMORY PROBLEM!!?

hi everyone, i have a compaq presario1601 notebook, i recently reinstalled everything due to a virus so i have 2 issues that i trying to fix now that my laptop is fully fixed. one- my windows wont let me defrag it says im at 23% (so i just downloaded another of the net)-which works but my defag from windows still wont defrag! does this matter?

second- my memory is all messed up, someone said that when u do a full restore ur laptop will keep hidden files from what i had saved originally, i didnt have much b4 so no need to keep, i guess my question is how do i free up my memory and tell my computer i dont need those old files so i can open up my memory?

I have another laptop with the same amount of memory and its at 88% free and that has ALOT more bigger files/programs than this one which is telling me 23% right now? is this b/c of the virus? is this normal? i have no music or movies downloaded how do i free up my memory? did defrag, disk clean up, went into add/delete programs and removed the ones for sure i will never use, anything else i should do?

Promotions are short lived., then you pay an arm and a leg for service that may or may not be there.and you are paying for old movies that are aired endlessly, even with On Demand. New movies should be on the Premium channels before they put them on Dvd. If you complain, you are given things, like an added service at their discretion, and come to find out when its time to pay the bill that you have to pay for it as an “upgrade”. It was not .or ever was free.(for a brief period of time as they suggested_ The rates go up and then they have it so if you get the least expensive you barely have any service at all. Anything costing over 100.00 a month should work every time you try to use it. Trust me, that is not even the least I pay, but I feel that 100.00 a month is too much. And had you noticed that if you don’t get a variety of things added, it does not lower your bill, it slightly raises it, along with a yearly increase that may apply.. The more you have the less you pay. If you downgrade, you get nothing for almost the same price. Someone please tell me that there is an alternative. One that doesn’t cost a fortune.(and No, I won’t convert Mormon)
Satellite has its problems as well and it seems the only thing to do is download your own stuff or rent or buy what you want to watch. How does that work with local news and soaps and such?
I can’t believe how happy I was with a basic TV antenna. I had a state of the art television with all the local channels and we were entertained quite well with only the electric bill to worry about.. TV viewing was otherwise free. Is 16GB enough memory on an iPad? Microsoft word?

In your opinion, will 16GB be enough memory for an iPad? I’m getting an iPad 2 with Wifi soon. I probably won’t be downloading movies, I’ll be using BBC iplayer mostly. My music collection on my computer is quite large but I doubt that I will be putting my whole collection on it.

I’d also like to know if the iPad 2 has Microsoft Word or another (preferably FREE) app to type up short and simple homeworks. I don’t mean for massive essays or anything, just something with buttons to change fonts/alignment etc. like on Word. I do have a computer to do essays if I have to but it’s old and slow to boot up so I’d prefer to do it on an iPad. I won’t be getting a laptop

Hi, I have a Mac. I want 2 make movies 2 put on YouTube. I tried iMovie and it’s soooo sucky!! It sucks bcuz it’s complicated and there’s no effects. I heard the old iMovie is better, so I tried it. Well, i have an iBook, the specifications for this laptop are Mac OS X, version 10.4.7, processor 900 MHZ,PowerPC G3, memory 256 MB.

Movie Making Software/Program?

I’m looking to download a movie making program or software for making AMV/VGMV type movies. On my old computer I had WMM for XP which I really liked but now I only have Windows Live Movie Maker and I absolutely hate it. Just wondering whether one can report questions asking where to download for free movies, music or books still under copyright (I would expect you can, just would like to make sure) and if so would you report them as “illegal” or just as a violation of the community guidelines?

And another question while I still think of it: How do you report a user who claims to be under 13? Would you report the question even if the question itself does not violate the guidelines or would you report the profile? Or is it better to report the question where the user claims to be under 13 rather than a profile that they’ve obviously set to show them as older? And how?

How do i free up virtual memory?

I’m not real good with computers, My hard drive recently fried i purchased and installed a new 500 gig hard drive. I previously had a 250 gig drive not a=sure if that matters. Its a dell computer about 4 years old. I never had difficulty watching downloaded movies from Itunes and playing video games such as starcraft and command and conquer. Now all of my videos lag a lot and video games are a no go at all says must increase virtual memory? From what i gather that means add more ram?? But i never had problems with any of these functions til i installed a new hard drive?? what do i need to do??

Windows Movie maker?

I keep on trying to upload videos from windows movie maker onto youtube, but it isn’t working because I have an old/bad version of windows movie maker. Does anyone know where I can download (virus-free) windows movie maker that lets you do transitions and stuff?
And I can’t save movie file or “finish” the movie in order to make it a .wmv file, so the windows movie maker I have is no good
