Your Questions About Free Download Old Movies

George asks…

Are the United States and Canada trying to slip an anti-internet agreement past its citizens negotiating in?

Europe and giving it little publicity here?

Protests erupt across Europe against web piracy treaty
By Erik Kirschbaum and Irina Ivanova | Reuters – 4 hrs agoBERLIN/SOFIA (Reuters) – Tens of thousands of protesters took part in rallies across Europe on Saturday against an international anti-piracy agreement they fear will curb their freedom to download movies and music for free and encourage Internet surveillance.

More than 25,000 demonstrators braved freezing temperatures in German cities to march against the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) while 4,000 Bulgarians in Sofia rallied against the agreement designed to strengthen the legal framework for intellectual property rights.

There were thousands more – mostly young – demonstrators at other high-spirited rallies despite snow and freezing temperatures in cities including Warsaw, Prague, Slovakia, Bucharest, Vilnius, Paris, Brussels and Dublin.

“We don’t feel safe anymore. The Internet was one of the few places where we could act freely,” said Monica Tepelus, a 26-year-old programmer protesting with about 300 people in Bucharest.

Opposition to ACTA in Eastern Europe is especially strong and spreading rapidly. Protesters have compared it to the Big Brother-style surveillance used by former Communist regimes. Downloading films and music is also a popular way for many young Eastern Europeans to obtain free entertainment.

“Stop ACTA!” read a banner carried by one of the 2,000 marchers in central Berlin, where temperatures were -10 Celsius.

“It’s not acceptable to sacrifice the rights of freedom for copyrights,” Thomas Pfeiffer, a leader of the Greens party in Munich where 16,000 people protested against ACTA, was quoted telling Focus magazine’s online edition on Saturday.

Governments of eight nations including Japan and the United Stated signed an agreement in October aiming to cut copyright and trademark theft. The signing was hailed as a step toward bringing ACTA into effect.

Negotiations over ACTA have been taking place for several years. Some European countries have signed ACTA but it has not yet been signed or ratified in many countries. Germany’s Foreign Ministry said on Friday it would hold off on signing.

In Sofia, most of 4,000 demonstrators on Saturday were youths. Some wore the grinning, moustachioed Guy Fawkes masks that have become a symbol of the hacker group Anonymous and other global protest movements.

ACTA aims to cut trademark theft and tackle other online piracy. But the accord has sparked concerns, especially in Eastern European countries as well as in Germany which is sensitive about its history with the Gestapo and Stasi secret police, over online censorship and increased surveillance.

“We want ACTA stopped,” Yanko Petrov, who attended the rally in Sofia, told state broadcaster BNT. “We have our own laws, we don’t need international acts.”

SURVEILLANCE

The protesters are concerned that free downloading of movies and music might lead to prison sentences if the ACTA was ratified by parliaments. THEY ALSO FEAR THAT EXCHANGING MATERIAL ON THE INTERNET MAY BECOME A CRIME and say the accord will allow for massive online surveillance.

In Warsaw, some 500 protesters demonstrated, brandishing placards saying “No to ACTA,” “Down with censorship” and “Free Internet.” Several hundred turned out in the southwestern city of Wroclaw, the Baltic port of Szczecin and Poznan.

In Paris, about 1,000 people marched ACTA. “It’s a demonstration without precedent because it’s taking place in all of Europe at the same time,” said Jeremie Zimmermann, spokesman for Internet freedom group Quadrature du Net.

In Prague, about 1,500 people marched against ACTA. Some waved black pirate flags with white skull and crossed bones, and others wore white masks of the Guy Fawkes character.

Some carried banners against the ACTA treaty such as “Freedom to the Internet” and “ACTA attacks Freedom,” and chanted “Freedom, Freedom.” Smaller gatherings took place in other Czech cities.

The Czech government has held off on ratification of the ACTA treaty, saying it needs to be analyzed.

Romanian state-news agency Agerpres said 2,000 people protested in the Transylvanian city of Cluj against ACTA, carrying banners that said: “Paws off the Internet.”

In Croatia, protests were held in Zagreb, Split and Rijeka, with demonstrators, some masked, carrying banners reading “Stop internet censorship.”

A group identifying itself as Anonymous hacked into the webpage of Croatian president Ivo Josipovic, who has defended copyright measures. It remained unavailable for several hours.

It also crashed the pages of ZAMP, a Croatian professional service that looks after the protection of composers’ rights and copyright, and the Institute of Croatian Music.

This same agreement will apply just as much in the U.S. and Canada.

The public’s right to use material that was old and unpublishe was taken away by treaty extending the time before copyrights expire. This was a massive theft and is part of the reason there is so much public ignorance today.

More translations of the Bible would be in the public domain but for these changes.

You have a point that unpopular laws that would never pass the US Congress can be negotiated in treaties and be enforced on us. The Constitution _and treaties_ are the supreme law of the land

Your Questions About Download Movies Legal Free

Michael asks…

watcihng movies for free online: is it legal?

i know that downloading recent movies is illegal, but what if the movie has been out for a long time and you are not even downloading it? is it still illegal?

admin answers:

The age of the movie only matters if it has fallen into public domain, which will take somewhere around 100 years. Otherwise, you can legally watch movies online if the website you are watching it on is licensed to distribute the movie, like iTunes is.

The question of whether or not you are downloading or streaming is more interesting. I don’t know. If you are watching copyrighted material on a website such as youtube are you breaking the law? I wouldn’t think so, but the DMCA is pretty crazy — I would like to know more about that.

Note that it is definitely illegal to download copyrighted movies from an unauthorized distributer, even if you aren’t making a profit — and people have been legally pursued by the MPAA even though they were not selling the material they downloaded.

i have using I tunes for like 2 years and if limewire does this for fee, Why would I put alot of money in songs if I can save for something else?

admin answers:

Limewire: Legal.

Downloading OR uploading copyrighted songs/videos : illegal.

There are sites like http://www.jamendo.com/ where you can download songs legally for free, but those are the ones under creative commons license.

In short, if you get something for free but otherwise would have to pay for it, its illegal.

Oh, and both downloading AND uploading copyrighted songs is illegal. Those who don’t believe it should read this

Free video editor with no download? (+10pts!!)?

What is a good video editor that i dont have to download to use? I dont mind making an account, and it’s gotta be free. Ive seen people use one true media, but i dont want to use that because it says at teh beginning and end “made using one true media” or something like that.

Basically all i need to use it for is simple stuff, like fast forwarding only certain parts, not the whole clip, slowing down a selected part, not the whole video, and putting more than one clip together. Those three are the necessities, and it has to be fairly simple. I have the newest version of windows live movie maker on my laptop, but im used to the old version and can’t really figure out how this one works. I want something that’s simple, easy to use, free, and no downloads so it doesnt take up space on my laptop.

Thank You So Much!!

Betty asks…

Downloading movies for free question.?

Is it legal to download a movie for free if you purchased and own the DVD?

I can technically use the .vob files on the DVD, convert them, and use those; however sometimes there’s playing issues and it’s just easier to download the .avi or .wmv.

admin answers:

Technically it is illegal. However if you own one form of media is has generally been accepted that you can change the media formats for your own personal use. The use of CD’s to make mp3’s is an example. You could also argue that by buying it, that allows you to control for your own purposes all media rights. And as long as you keep it to yourself and do not pass any around, no one will find out anyway.

Helen asks…

John asks…

Is it safe and legal to download songs from Myspace?

You know how on certain artist’s pages, they have a song that you can download for free. Is this legal? How do you know which songs are legal to download and which aren’t? Some of these pages are not of the actual artist but from a fan or some are even songs from a movie soundtrack. Is it legal to download these too?

admin answers:

It is only legal to download songs that are from the official artist, recordlabel, movie producer, etc. People who upload other people’s work and allow for downloads are committing crimes. However, if you cannot tell whether or not the source is genuine, the statement would probably hold in court.

Your Questions About Where Can I Download Old Movies For Free

Nancy asks…

where is my hard drive memory going?

k my computer is an hp dv 2000 special edition and im running vista sp 1 64bit
ive got 250gb hd and after all installations when i just got the computer i had about 190 gb free space….since then ive installed a few programs and downloaded some movies that i have long since deleted…the point is…my free memory space has decreased to about 110 gb….i got rid of all the crap i didnt need and ive defragged my system then i cleaned my c drive and got rid of shadow files and old restore points but that only brought me back up to 132 gb

i was just wondering what i can do to get some of that memory back…and whether or not having multiple users on the system can effect this (im the only administrator and i DID clean drive c for ALL users)

also….where is the memory/what is the problem?

admin answers:

Use Spacemonger

this program will lay out all of your hard drive usage visually, allowing you to see where all your space is being taken up. Simple and effective. Not to mention it is free.

Help With finding a Holiday script!?

My Theatre class wants to do a performance at school to raise money and we need a good script. Please something i can download for free off the net. It needs to be at least forty minutes and preferably under an hour. What we really wanted to do was Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the Island of Misfit Toys, but i can‘t find the script. Any of those old cartoon movies would be good, something to do with the holidays and Santa, but not too religious, it is gonna be performed at school. Thanks so Much. Oh and if you could please tell me the link where to find the script you suggest 🙂

On one tree hill did lucas really shoot dan?

i just watched the episode of one tree hill where lucas figures out that dan killed keith, and peyton got offered an internship in L.A, and there’s the whole year book thing, and nathans shaving scores thing. but anyway, in the end did lucas really shoot dan or what? i was told it was left as a cliff hanger at the end of a season or something, but that is an old episode so most likely everybody has seen the rest of the season and stuff. and also, if you could give me a website where you can download episodes of one tree hill for FREE. id also like to download movies and other tv shows so if you can give me a website or whatever that has that to that’d be great. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO ANSWERED!!!

XOXO

admin answers:

No he didn’t really shoot him..he just shot at him, and hit the wall instead..i think he was trying to scare him.
And it wasn’t the end of the season either..there were 2 episodes after that where karen and haley have their baby and everyone graduates.
I don’t know where you can watch it on the internet though, sorry :/

Mary asks…

How do i create multiple free trail Graboid accounts?

I found this amazing programme where you can watch fantastic quality movies or tv shows. I signed up for a free trial and i knew i would only get 2000mb worth of downloading/viewing. There was only a couple of movies i wanted to see so that didn’t bother me…however cause of the easiness of it all and the fantastic quality i got addicted. So i thought i could simply re-download the programme and sign-up again….nope doesn’t work. Turns out Graboid remembers your IP address and so therefore you can‘t sign-up again for a trial.

There must be a way round this and those out there with good computer skills must know, please help me. I‘ve watched like 15 videos on the net trying to help me create another free trial account but it seems most vidoes relate to the older version of the programme. Can anyone help me create multiple free trial accounts on Graboid?

admin answers:

Ur user name is not polite but anyway I guess I can help u
well first of all u need to remember what are the ways to track down a specific user it can be only done in couple of ways if they try more than that it will eventually violate ur privacy then u can sue them. So that ways are by cookies, by IP address ,by logging.

So if u use the firefox u can see in Tools->options->Privacy->remove invidual cookies unders that u can search the site’s name then remove all cookies addtionally try to remove more cookies cause some sites store cookies by third party domain names so in that case it is not possible to do by just deleting cookies of one domain then delete every cookies cause there is no other way to do that.

Second there are two type of IP address first, Dynamic second Static .static IP addresses are compulsory for Servers and large organizations while apparently most of Home users use Dynamic IP address packages since they are cheap. If u got a Static IP address
then on Windows XP<

1. Click Start
2. Click Run
3. Type cmd and ENTER
4. Type ipconfig /release in the command window

Wait for DOS to process the command, and

1. Type ipconfig /renew in the command window

if it's dynamic just restart the router then u got a new IP ,then go to the
GMX.com and create an Email address u can also use ur Facebook account to get a new Email
then once u logged in go to the Setting/Option and see Alias then create an Alias name(which is a new email) then after u done everything I said create a new account and use the alias email.
That's all.

But I suggest try alternative method than go through all these methods cause it will tired u than entertain
go to the Google and search as
XVID free movies
then when u got the result go each site and search what u want to watch ,then watch ,those all are free ,and unlimited ,u also don't need an account.

Charles asks…

What are some movies with a LOT of nudity?

Ok im a horny guy lol. I like movies witha LOT of nudity. I don’t care what genre it is though i perfer it be comedy or romance. The reason i dont “just look at porn” is because i like to have SOME sort of plot. The thing is i don’t want movies with “some” nudity. I want movies with nudity in like every scene. Think “sex pot” or “Caligula” or even “18 Year Old Virgin” I have already tried the american pie series (decent movies though i want MORE nudity) , another teen movie, and several others. Basically i want to be able to randomly click in places in the movie, and be able to find some nudity. If you know of a porn movie with a plot that i can follow then i guess that works too. Though if you give one then please give me a link to STREAM IT free. I don’t like downloading movies.

also. Keep in mind the plot doesn’t have to be GOOD it just has to BE THERE. (if you’ve seen sex pot, thats good enough)

also DO NOT give me movies where there are one or 2 scenes only, as well don’t give me some crim drama where the dead bodys are naked, that is NOT a turn on lol.

also i don’t want a lot of older movies. I want like 1995 AT THE EARLIEST i would prefer 2000 and up.

tl;dr i want as much nudity as possible without it being porn, and i don’t want old movies.I want a movie that can keep me ROCK HARD through the whole thing.
Female nudity. im not interested in guys.

admin answers:

Watch any hunting show. You can usually catch them on weekend mornings. The plot is to kill animals. And the animals are naked throughout the entire show. Fast forward to any scene: there’s another naked animal.

Jenny asks…

How to Convert movies to IPOD format with Vista?

Hi, I just brought a new laptop which has vista. On my old windows laptop i used Internet Video Converter to convert downloaded movies to IPOD format. I tried to use this program on Vista but once i downloaded it, installation would not work. Has anyone else had the same trouble and what is another quick, easy program i can use that is free to download? Thanks
ok. these suggestions are all great but i want a free version that does not contain a watermark image and the below do. The internet video converter i had was a free program with no watermark… does anyone know a similar program?
I have tried teh cucusoft one that you guys have suggested but ended up with a watermark on the screen, do you know any that do not have this?

admin answers:

That’s the problem with vista..its designed to take these advantages away. I’ve noticed though, that there are many fixes on line for this…I had a similar problem with a different program…I looked it up and it turns out that the NEWER versions won’t work on vista (its designed that way so we don’t rip or jack movies or music for free)…so what i did is went out and downloaded the version before the newest and…it worked just fine!

So go out and try and find the older version and I bet that would work easily.

Susan asks…

Paul asks…

my parents are fighting? who is right?

Ok my parents are fighting over a stupid little thing and I just need your opinions on who you think is right? My dad is a music lover type of guy and usually likes to play with his band or go to a small local band with his friends on the weekends, that’s all. But my mom doesn’t like him to go because she wants him to spend time with his family. My dad doesn’t really work late on week days (comes home at 3:00 p.m.) but he usually is downloading movies/music and copying them on dvds from forums or sending music to his friends and other music stuff the rest of the entire day. ( he’s started this 1 year ago when he figured out he could download free movies) So i can see why my mom doesn’t think he is paying much attention to his family. But he only wants to go practice music in the band/or watch local singers on the weekends with his friends. He loves music a lot and he also is getting old. so who do you think is right?
yes unfortunately kenshin, my mom is not a social person and she just stay home all the time resting or working/cleaning the house. it was kind of a forced marriage.

admin answers:

It sounds to me as if they are BOTH right. They need to compromise and come up with a plan that allows your dad to spend some time on his music hobby and some time with his family.
