Under the Fair Use Act you can make a legal backup of copyrighted material you own. I for one, take advantage of that because I have children that I do not allow to use the Original CDs or DVDs. They get to use the copied ones. For DVDs I use DVDShrink – you will have to google for a download site because the main site doesn’t host the actual file. I also use uTorrent.
Just google the film you want and add torrent to the end. The results are likely to come from sites such as ThePirateBay, Mininova, IsoHunt and Torrentz.com. I usually chose the file which has the most “seeds” (people who have downloaded the file. The more seeders, the more people to “seed” the file which means upload it for others to download (you). This quickens the downloading and also shows that it is a safer file. Once you click “download .torrent”, uTorrent will open and it will have a small window asking what you want to download from this file (some films are split up, or other files are grouped into it.) Once the download is complete, it will be in “My Downloads” folder. Also, the speed that your file downloads can be tracked on the right side of uTorrent, “Download speed”. The higher the Bites p/s (bites per second), the quicker it will download
