Can you get good quality movies from BEARSHARE?
If not, what LEGAL way can you download FREE movies?
admin answers:
Haha. There is no LEGAL way to download movies, unless you are downloading independent films that are not copyrighted. If you are desperate you could try a BitTorrent client, such as uTorrent, but it is still illegal. The following site has good quality movies, but they only last for a couple days and it doesn’t have that great of a selection: http://www.joox.net

Where can I buy legal downloads of DRM-free video?
I want to buy video downloads of movies and TV shows. I want to give my money to the artists who created the video, and the retailer that sells it. Here’s the thing: I want it to be DRM-free. The two legal places I tried to buy it from– Amazon and iTunes– both use DRM. What legal websites sell DRM-free video downloads?
Google turns up a lot of shady sites. I can’t tell the difference between sellers of pirated content, and legitimate sites that give the appropriate profits to the creators.
Please tell me what LEGAL place I can buy DRM-free video from. I don’t want to do anything shady, I don’t want to buy from “www.al’s-drm-free–movies.com”, and I don’t want to use DRM-removal software.
I’d also like to know how to get eBooks in the same fashion.

Your best bet would be to buy movies at the store that include Digital Copies, and even there, those may have copy protections because you redeem them on iTunes or some other program whose movies are already copy protected.
The film studios put it in there so that you can’t rip the movie (legally) and then redistribute it. But it’s pointless because someone can just make a complete copy of the DVD/Blu Ray movie onto another disc (there are programs that crunch it down into the 4300 MB file size to fit on a 4.7GB DVD). People could then redistribute that.
The DMCA is stupid and the film studios and their copy protection attempts are stupid too.
They need to amend it saying that as long as you buy an authentic copy of the movie (either on iTunes or on a disc at the store), you can rip it, copy it, do whatever you want with it – and make it illegal for the film studios to put any kind of copy protection schemes into it (because technically copy protection schemes violate Fair Use doctrine). Redistribution penalties should go up.

Does anyone know any good sites for downloading movies and music that are free and legal?
admin answers:
To my knowledge free and legal can’t be in the same sentence. You can find a large amount of people use isohunt.com to download dvd rips. I am pretty sure this is not considered legal even though the quality is not par with true dvd.
