What is the best way to download music to my mp3 through the internet?

Is it illegal to use the software called limewire?
Alot of people say it’s illegal but the website says it’s legal!

Technically the program is legal, and can be very useful. All Limewire does is share files between computers. However, it becomes illegal if you use Limewire to share copyrighted files, including music, movies, photos, or software that is protected under US law. If you don’t use Limewire to download any of those, it’s perfectly legal. The Limewire site claims that it’s legal because they’re only responsible for the software, which is perfectly legal. If they were to be fined of sued, they would blame the illegal content on their users, not the creators of the software.

How do you know if downloading a file is illegal?
There are all kinds of file sharing programs in the Internet, are those legal? Or are the documents, movies, music… sharing illegal? There are also sites that allow you to watch movies uploaded to the site, even Google allows that, is it legal?

Hmm, Whats the best way to put this -_^, All depends on the site =P Mininova.org Piratebay.org Torrentz.com lol all illegal. Sites like Snapfiles.com and Filehippo.com are legal tho. Just look at the site. If they’re riddled with Spam, and popups its illegal. If its Relativity clean then most likely they’re a Legal site.

Archive.org has a huge collection of public domain video, movies, clips, old public service announcements and ads, etc. Since it is all public domain, everything is legal to use.
