What are the chances of being caught downloading torrents?
I know that torrents are illegal when used to download copyrighted content. My question is, had there been much legal action taken? What are the chances of getting caught if you don’t upload or seed? And if you did get prosecuted, would it be a sure conviction/fine, or are there some holes in the rules that would allow you to get off?

Chances are less but you could be one of the unlucky ones and if you get caught they would straightaway fine or convict you and would not wait on to hear from you even if you are saying you did not download it or you delete it ..they don’t have that much time…you would have to get your attorney for court matters and fight against MPAA.
As far as I know , your ISP logs every event tbetween your machine and outside world and ISPs are bound to provide those logs to authorities when asked…ISP has no reason to protect you…
But I have also heard Authorities are more behind uploaders and that too for latest movie in theaters but they also set a trap by putting fake torrents and observing IPs downloading it…
Sometimes the torrent listing sites are taken down for illegal stuff and their logs are used to trace the uploaders or downloaders …

How do you get your own videos on windows movie maker?
Ok i need help!! Like do you put the disk in of the video? Or do you connect your camera to it?? And whenever i put the disk in that has my video on it windows media player just pops up and plays it, but i dont know how to save it as a file, so i can get it on windows movie maker!! please help and please be very understandable i just dont get it, thank yoou

You can try to rip video content off of a CD and then import it into movie maker…most people just use clip downloads or clip content that is already on their hard drive. There are many legal sites that have video clips. But if its for personal content you’d need to either rip it from a CD, DVD, or import from a camera.

Getting permission from the record label companies?
I’ll soon going to promote some cool makeup tutorial videos on YouTube and also adding music; but I don’t want to get into legal trouble. How do I contact record label companies and how much will they charge me?

It’s just not possible. Unless you work for a movie or a tv show or have connection in the music business it’s just not realistic that a regular average person could contact a record label to use their music on their amateur YT video –
plus tv shows and movies, etc.. That use music, PAY for it. It would cost you money to use the song you want on your video.
Try royalty free music – Jamendo.com is a great site with tons and tons of music in all different genres. It’s free to stream and if you like it, free to download (there is a download button right on the site) and then you can use the songs on YT with no issues.

If you don’t have a USA ip address – find a free VPN service, like VPNbook or there’s others, to get a US IP to watch these shows. Maybe even a free proxy server would work like the one mentioned here:

I watch UK TV semi-frequently from the US, but I’ve never tried watching full movies from UK sites.

I’m a member of One True Media and they have some of the most awful songs that you can use to spice up a video. I have instrumental songs from various artists that I used once and put it on Youtube and it was pulled because of copyright laws. How could a instrumental song be illegal if words weren’t used? If possible, how can I add good music to my Youtube videos without it being illegal? Are there any places where I can find better music than the cheesy ones One True Media have?
