need help on my english paper please?
Are computers a blessing or a curse? Many people think they are a blessing, many think they are a curse and many think they are both depending on the ways and reasons for there use. The people that think computers are blessings provide many interesting fact as well as opinions of there side of the story such as how computers make it easier to access information all around the world. The part of society that believes computers are a curse also provide interesting facts and opinions such as peoples eyes are getting worse because of always looking at a computer screen. The ones who defend both have a mix of feelings between the two sides and would rather not take one side but review the facts and determine there own beliefs about computers.
There are many reasons why computers are a blessing to society. First, computers make it much easier to gather information from places all around the world. Whether its research for college papers or even personal curiosity, no matter what, computers make information much easier to obtain. Computers and internet are full of useful ways of finding information. There are search engines to search for sites with the information you need, online dictionaries to get the definitions of an unknown meaning of a word in your vocabulary, blogs to chat with people and keep up with current information around the world, forums to ask questions and get answers on things you need help on, and many more utilities to help find what you are looking for. You may also find many videos with tutorials. There are also many lectures you can find online that you can stream from the web.
Computers are not only for research and learning needs, but you can also find a lot of entertainment. For example you may go to YouTube to look at funny videos people have uploaded for your enjoyment. You can also download any music and any movies you want for free. You can play games on the computer. If you’re bored or don’t want to research anymore, games are a great way to have some fun.
You may also Skype people around the world with live video chat. For example I had a friend go to Russia and I called him on Skype and we talked while he was in a country thousands of miles away. In the past no one ever dreamt this would ever become possible, but; with the help of technology and computers this dream has become reality.
For the people who believe that computers are a curse, there are many facts on your side of the argument. According to leading scientists and doctors, there has been an amazing increase on blindness and other disorders cause by time spent staring at a computer screen. Many people have also seen computers being a problem in the form of addiction. They also spend less time being social with friends and family. When you are on the computer you can lose track of time and be on the computer all day and not even realize it.
The computer can be very addicting. You have games and an abundant amount of information at your finger tips. In my own personal experience I can tell you that games and research can attract you to stay on the computer longer than intended. There has to be a way to monitor yourself on the computer. Maybe getting an alarm or a timer that goes off telling you that you need to take a break and get off. In the future with our children this could be very helpful.
In my opinion I think computers and internet are a blessing as well as a curse. In order for computer and internet to be a blessing, you have to use them right. Stay on task and get your work done. When you’re done with all that then you can play games and use it for entertainment. You have to be able to monitor yourself so you are not on the computer all day and not even know it. It is good to have computer around so you can get your work done when you have the time. It’s not so much fun having to go to the library everyday to use the computer even though that might be what keeps you focused. Computers are also great for entertainment. When you have all your work done you can play games or watch videos and relax a little. This is a great reason why computers are a blessing.
As well as being a blessing, computers can also be a curse. You can become easily distracted with all the information you have available to you through the internet. Games can also become distracting, as well as addicting. There has to be some kind of monitoring system for your computer so you don’t spend all day looking at a screen.
my paper needs to be a minimum of 2 pages… so far it 1 and a half. any suggestions on things i should add?

How about adding in a paragraph on the effect of computers on the environment? They have greatly helped mankind, but they have been a terrible burden on the environment. The chemicals and manufacturing it takes to make them as well as all the waste and pollution they create. When computers become obsolete they are sent to third world nations like Cambodia where the people take them apart and burn the circuit boards to get the gold and copper out. This creates birth defects and is horrible on the land and air.
PS: make sure you check your spelling and grammar. There are a lot of mistakes you may get docked on.

1- whats an idx file??
Since i know about sub file.. which i can add to an existing anime to see the subs in english.. and i see idx file in all dual audio anime..
wu it mean tht if i add idx file to my existing anime movie wl i be able to hear in english??
cause i have many anime’s.. i wud like to hear em in english and i dont want to download em all over again..
2- whats an interlace?? i mean most of the anime forums have some ppl working something on anime – process half- process completed etc etc.. what r they doing?? are they converting the video file into another format like ogg or mkv?? something like what i use to convert video files to avi etc etc.. i dont know what its called.. but usually we see.. that they most , so and so group or moderator is doing some work on some anime’s.. i dont think they mean he is drawing the anime!!?? as in sketching??!!
3- whats a fan subbed?? is it a website name?? and related to this.. what does licensing mean??
i mean they say stop distributing anime after its been licensed.. but before its licensed ppl download and see.. and pretty much where i live theres no tv channel that shows anime.. i have to download anime.. so basically i love anime but i dont want animes to be licensed.. as i wont be able to see em otherwise..

IDX file i have no clue i have never seen one because i primarily BUY my anime on dvd…
However as an amv creator i can answer several of your other qq’s
interlacing is a function of how your tv screen displays video it takes 2 passes to display any given image it draws every other line then goes gack and fills in the ones it didnt display the first time then moves to the next frame and draws every other line then switches it does this continually… You really dont need to know about this unless you are going to get into video editing. At which point you want to go to Animemusicvideos.org and look for readfag under the guides section (yes its really called readfag) it is very informative
next fansubs are basically somone captured the anime somehow either off tv or ripped a japanese dvd then they added a translation layer to the image with subtitles. It would be a FAN that did this and not a lisenced studio hence fansub (fan subtitling)
a lisence is where for example an american company goes to the japanese company that has legal rights to the anime and says i would like to translate this to english and release it for sale in america. The japanese company says ok you can dub to english and sell this for 10 years or so whatever the agreed upon time is. The japanese co gets huge ammounts of money and the american co is allowed to sell it legally in america and make money off of it.
Basically anime that is aired in japan and is not lisenced can be distributed until somone buys the legal rights to that anime (basically they control it for the contract period) lisencing is good because it usually means an anime will be dubbed and released on DVD.

Need to watch Fair Game (2010) online. PLEASE HELP!!!! (it’s for school)?
Okay, I need to watch this really stupid, bad movie for one of my classes so I can write a review and get some extra credit points. The problem is that the movie is so bad that it’s not even playing anymore in any of the theaters by me, and I could really, really use those extra points, because I’m doing pretty bad in that class. I tried searching online and trying all these different sites, but so far they’ve all been scams. At this point, I don’t care if I have to pay a little bit to see the movie, as long as I can see it as soon as i sign up, pay, download, or whatever I have to do.
So PLEASE. I need a site or program that can get me to see this video asap without giving me a billion viruses. Thanks in advance.

nokia n81 owners plz answer!!!!?
i am planing on buying a new phone. my old on didn’t do too much so i am going to get a new one. i am thinking on getting the nokia n81. i was thinking of buying the n85 or better the n96 but they are off my money limits.
i like playing games watching movies and definitely listening to music. so i am thinking on buying the n81, but i wanna know some things about it . i looked all over the web at all reviews but couldn’t find ansewrs .
1) Is it easy to get on the wireless internet i have at home using wi-fi?
2) is the internet fast on the n81?
3) Can i go on facebook,myspace and java sites like youtube?
4) dose this phone have a bright colorfull screen ?
5) can u download apps. like msn messenger
6) is it easy to scroll through the web pages , because the screen isnt so big.

Ok, I know these types of phones and I want you to take a moment to read my answer.
The N81 is a good smartphone. See, all modern phones can now send text messages, call, watch movies, view images, take videos and pictures, play music, etc. But what’s good about the N81 is that its a Nokia Series 60 3rd Edition Smartphone (S60v3). It’s not your typical Motorola RAZR that can only do regular phone features as I said there.
The N81 can pick up WiFi just like a laptop can, so it if your laptop can pick-up the WiFi at home from a certain distance, the N81 (as well as any other phone) can pick up the signal.
If you are going to use WiFi, then the internet speed will depend on your internet plan at home (so if your internet is like 256kbps, then it will be the same). BUT, if you are going to use your service’s internet (3G or GPRS), then that changes. If you connect using 3G Connection, you’ll get the speed 384 kbps or lower, if you connect via GPRS, you’ll get the speed of 48 kbps or lower.
Also, you can go to myspace, youtube, and facebook BUT YOU will be redirected to the mobile sites of these. Example is that you will be redirected to http://wap.yahoo.com/ if you access http://www.yahoo.com from your phone. And you cannot access WAPsites from your computer but on your phone. Also, the N81 can play Flash applications in the web browser but your phone will slow down temporarily.
It does have a great TFT display with 16 million colors. Also with a 240×320 screen resolution. So I’d say that it has a great screen!
You can download applications to your mobile, and since it’s a smartphone, you can get tons of apps for it. N81 has great built-in apps already! QuickOffice lets you read WORD, POWERPOINT and EXCEL Files, Adobe Reader lets you read PDF files, Adobe Flash Lite 3.0 lets you open Flash Files from your phone. That’s not all, you can get Symbian SIS applications (these applications are made for S60v3 phones and are extremely better than JAVA applications).

Ok I was looking to buy a desktop but then I decided to buy a laptop instead. I just need your opinion if this laptop is good.

I know it says ram is not upgradeable but it is I read the customer reviews and it says it is upgradeable and is the ram good?

Understand the limited funds. This is a last of product line type of system and is a little antiquated. Have you checked the Circuit City site? They can beat Best Buy a lot of times in laptop prices. Bad part about on line units is there sometimes are ones in the store better equipped at the same or lower price. Whenever a company starts offering add ons free that tells me the unit is overpriced to start with.
