What are some good video editing softwares free for windows?
Leave links below please! I just am sick of windows live movie maker, and it doesn’t even have all the effects im looking for.. please suggest some cool free softwares that are simple to use. Thanks!

Take a look at the tutorials for Windows Movie Maker at
http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/Tutorials/ – it may be WMM is all you need. It really is foolproof except that it’s picky in what file formats it takes and the lack of native support for multiple video and audio tracks are a definite disadvantage (but there are workarounds).
The version 2 series were probably the most versatile, you can find them here – http://www.brothersoft.com/downloads/windows-movie-maker.html – but you’ll have problems installing the older versions on Windows 7. Windows Live Movie Maker is still good, but not so versatile.
Other free video editors are…
Wax – http://www.debugmode.com/wax/ – this is also a compositor – a bit like Adobe’s After Effects – – unlimited video and audio tracks
VideoLAN Movie Creator – http://videolan.org/vlmc/ – up to 64 audio and video tracks
TrakAxPC – www.trakax.com/software/pc/
VideoSpin – http://videospin.com/ – just 1 video track so you may as well use WMM
VideoPad – the free version – http://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/
Lightworks – http://www.lightworksbeta.com/ – I like this one – unlimited tracks ?
Serif MoviePlus – http://serif.com/free-video-editing-software/ – unlimited tracks ?
Ezvid – ezvid.com/ – 32 video and audio tracks
Another is Zwei-Stein. This is a good editor but I found the interface to be absolutely horrible.
VirtualDub, RAD Video tools, AVITricks and Avidemux are also good tools you should look at. Although not full editors like the others they have some useful features.
Lightworks and Wax together are a very good video editing system for free.
All are safe, at least from the sites I’ve linked to.
If you want to spend some money then there are reviews of 14 video editors under $100 at http://video-editing-software-review.toptenreviews.com/
More costly are video editors like Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere. Both of which are very good. Premiere is probably more advanced but harder to learn everything it can do.

What are Some Safe Music and Movie Sharing Websites that will not crash my computer?
I downloaded limewire and have been a religious user of it for all of my music and movie needs. However, limewire has also been at fault for the loss of three of my computers. Is there another website that I can use to upload music? One that I may not have to download onto my computer. This one that I have now is in very fragile shape, and I don’t want it to crash again.
What are your suggestions?
admin answers:
All sites, and indeed programs, like Limewire are gonna be fairly dodgy. Some more than others. Most will be riddled with virus’s. If your afraid of risking your PC don’t do it. Whenever your gonna go shareware theres always a risk.

How do you download completely free music to your MP3 player?
I have a nextar digital MP3 player and I really want to download some songs but I want them completely FREE! I know there is a website where you can do that! Can anyone please tell me??
I prefer links, but web adresses are good too! =)
admin answers:
There are quite a number of site able to help you to do so.. Like limewire and bearshare, which is free but it is illegal and lot of virus on the song downloaded, which will crash your system easily.
As for some paid site, i.e. Mp3 rockets, which is only exclusive to member only, which is definitely the choice you will want to consider. They allow you to download unlimited mp3 music, video and movie. It is safe and they also provide 24x 7 hours support to member.
Get a review for mp3 rockets, Klite, limewire and more before you make your choice.

How do I convert a Youtube video to a wmv file so I can use it in Windows Movie Maker?
I’m trying to create a video in Windows Movie Maker using video clips from Youtube. I’ve used several video converting websites and I still can’t get the videos to work in WMM. They disappear after a few minutes on the player. What am I to do?
admin answers:

DO NOT DOWNLOAD PRISM CONVERTER
IT IS MALWARE
(someone suggested it above, they probably believe its good, for a while I did..but then learned that ANY product from “NCH” (that’s who makes Prism) is a trojan like presence in your computer that you cant remove
and cant shut off
(I had to reformat to get it out of there!)

Windows Movie Maker should be avoided,
if you can in any way find another program to use in its place.
Ya see, the .wmv format will only work in Windows Media Player, and nowhere else.
And Movie Maker, instead of being a movie maker, FORCES you to use that LIMITED TO MICROSOFT USE ONLY format,, and no other.
I have a huge problem with that.
It’s an unfair trick which should be illegal.
What I mean is, have you noticed that Movie Maker wont even work unless you remove DIVX from your computer?
Thats not ok.
Divx is needed to burn a video so it will play in the outside world, like on your dvd player, on your tv.
If you dont use divx, and make the video a .avi file, how will you burn it? -and have it actually play in a dvd player?
You cant
you cant use a .wmv file in the outside world.
So what Microsoft is duping you into doing is investing your hard efforts into ending up only ever being able to play your video on Media Player and nowhere else.
Thats just wrong.
You payed for movie maker
it isnt like its a freebie, so you owe them something.
Its yours
and theyre doing this dirty trick to you,
(including making you remove DIVX !!!)
just so they can try and wipe out any competition, and be a monopoly (those are illegal)
Microsoft doesnt care.
Microsoft wants to be in charge and own everything.
I say (and many many others) SCREW microsoft
For one thing, download VLC (from Videolan)
it’s freeware
has every codec in it
(so no video will EVER be unable to play in it)
..we do this because once again, microsoft(“windows”) put “media player” in your computer, but with no codecs in it, so its constanly telling you it cant play things right?
Thats why everybody uses VLC
(go to the videolan site,
or go to file hippo
or cnet
or brothersoft
(all safe sites to download from
,,and they offer all kinds of different FREE SOFTWARES
SO…THIS is where you can look for the software you need to replace movie maker.
(or you can buy Nero (but avoid Roxio)(avoid it)
also, stop using websites to do your converting, it isnt all that safe for you…it’d be so better to just own your own converter program, wouldnt it?
Well guess what, you can get one free
and here it is
(I only offer people links when I’m POSITIVE they are safe, because I have used them):
http://www.any-video-converter.com/products/for_video_free/
thats a wonderful and simple program
however if you need to know what specs to tell it to use (you know the #’s for framerate and resolution, and which format for audio, which for video..if you arent expert at that, email me..I will send you the info, no prob
(well it wont convert properly without those right numbers)
okay so dont even worry about converting anything TO .wmv
just block media player, and get vlc
and get the converter
and either buy Nero (to make movies on), or seek “freeware”
(but stay within known sites,
or if you are offered a free product from a unknown site, ask about it on Answers first,m there are always people here who know (with a few who kind a dont inbetween) but, you can stay safe, just find out first
…do you have firefox?
Go into tools, click add-ons, and install their add-on “Web Of Trust” (WOT)
its the same as mcafee site advisor (but that costs money)
it -for fre- will put green yellow or red next to every site you ever have to look at and decide if its safe or not..it will help you know (so if its red, dont go basically)
but again, safe sites to get freeware from (and see a selection are:
CNET
File Hippo
Brothersoft
Good luck finding a program, to replace movie maker with
I havent yet
all I know is when it told me I would be required to make a video that was 25 gigabytes in size,
if i wanted it to be avi, instead of wmv, I turned it off
You might do well, to repost your question as
what program will replace movie maker?
Or
what program can i use to make a movie
or such..
James asks…
How would you get caught watching a movie?
would you get caught by watching movies online and not uploading them. i got a letter saying i uploaded a hbo show and i wud get a $250,000 fine when ive nvr even heard of the show(i was let off the hook), so ive been keeping away from doing anything remotly bad on the internet but wuts the poissiblity of getting caught watching a movie and how do they do it?anyway to stop it?
admin answers:
They claim to track down your IP address. And will occassionally even show it to you. There are stories of them actually tracking people down and making them pay. But considering how many people freely watch movies, or download music, it seems futile. But at the same time, I never chanced it again when I got the same warning heheh. The site even directed me to another that played a video of celebrities asking not to pirate their work. I think the paranoia induced does the rest. Darn them.
But one will most times find better quality movies if they just watched them legally. Sites like watch-movies.net(was taken down recently) and other hosting sites like YouTube are safer to watch movies because they don’t go after the people watching because they aren’t the ones breaking copyright…But even those who are responsible for posting are only let off with a warning and their account suspended. I don’t know why I got a thumbs down, this is all true. I don’t think anything will happen, but the one thing you got to worry about really are the viruses people send through p2p services like Limewire–particularly movies and programs.
