Can anyone enlighten me as to what Silverlight is?
I am being encouraged to download it, but without having a clue as to what it is, or if it can enhance any work I may do, is there any advantage in having it on board?

It is from Microsoft and is something like the Adobe Flash player. Web sites and movie players may require it to be installed to fully function. It is quite small and safe.

I Want to convert a torrent file into an ios suitable file?
i have an ipad and want to watch a movie which i am guessing is avi file format as it works only on my VLC player and utorrent player. what would be the best and most safe file to download?

Look for videos in MP4 as those are compatible with iPad. A site like Podtropolis carries only iPod/iPad compatible content.
If you are looking to convert what you have, I use the free Format Factory. I am on Windows though. Not sure what your OS is.

Are there any places on the internet where I can watch full DvD/VHS movies?
I like watching movies and I am bored with my time in college I was wondering if there are any spots on the net that I can watch full movies without having to pay for them.

To watch full movies you can go to http://www.watch-movies.net there you can watch any movie you want, it is free but if you want to get rid of the ads you can register for free. Just click on the link I provided and it should take you there, once you are there you can type in the name of the movie in the search bar and the movie should come up, once the picture of the movie comes up you can click on it, and the option to watch full movie will come up, you can watch the full movie, or you can watch it by parts, some have very bad quality though. It is safe, I have scanned it, and McAfee Siteadvisor says that it is a safe site, at the website I provided, you do not have to download them, but you can watch them in a new full screen. A lot of people use watch-movies.net it is a great site when you want to watch movies. If you want to see which sites are safe you can download McAfee Siteadvisor at http://www.siteadvisor.com it is free, I baught it though, you can use the free version which is great, the paid for version is the same, except it has something called protected mode, which when you go to a bad virus site it blocks it.

I am usually safe. I download movies from pirate bay. Most dangerous site i go on is probably reddit.com. I got rid of it, but how did I get it in the first place? Can it be from a torrent?

Yes, it could be from a torrent. Bit Torent is a P2P protocol spread over 10 of million computers. You are susceptible to any maleware on any of the computers you download files from.

How to download movies from the uTorrent ?
i have downloaded utorrent on my computer. but I don’t even know how to search movies from the torrent.. lol . don’t know how to download moviesss..

I also use uTorrent.
Just google the film you want and add torrent to the end. The results are likely to come from sites such as ThePirateBay, Mininova, IsoHunt and Torrentz.com. I usually chose the file which has the most “seeds” (people who have downloaded the file. The more seeders, the more people to “seed” the file which means upload it for others to download (you). This quickens the downloading and also shows that it is a safer file. Once you click “download .torrent”, uTorrent will open and it will have a small window asking what you want to download from this file (some films are split up, or other files are grouped into it.) Once the download is complete, it will be in “My Downloads” folder. Also, the speed that your file downloads can be tracked on the right side of uTorrent, “Download speed”. The higher the Bites p/s (bites per second), the quicker it will download
