Is there a way to download a dvd onto my computer?
I have a few movies that are on dvds, but I want them on my computer. Is there a safe site that will enable me to download the movies and maybe even the extras onto my computer so that I don’t have to buy a digital version of the movie?

WayneH’s solution of using DVD Shrink is not correct.
DVD Shrink is for shrinking movies that are too large to fit on a standard DVD; not for ripping a movie from a DVD to install on and view from your computer.
There are free Ripping software available that will do this but remember the movies are copyright protected and are not to be passed onto people who do not own them.

Is it a safe time to continue to download videos off the net right now?
I know that downloading dramas, movies, etc off the internet was never ‘safe‘ but us it more risky now since most of the file hosting websites are taken down? I was talking to a friend the other day about megaupload closing down and her new source of download. She told me that she stopped downloading things ‘in case anything happens’. She said that since all the downloading sites are closing down, they can track people that download.
So what do you think?
I forgot to mention, I don’t live in USA. I’m in Australia! =)

No, it is not safe whats so ever.
1. In Boston a man was arrested just yesterday for downloading an episode of the simpsons
2. Someone down my street was just confronted by a fed agent (probably because of downloading videos)
3. There is a red car that has been parked across my street and it’s not my neighbour’s son. Probably a fed agent.
So, no it’s not safe to download vidz anymore.

anyone know a movie site that has no downloads or links?
i dont want to download a movie everytime i watch one because i dont want to accidentaly download a virus and i dont like links because as well they can bring u to a bad site that isnt safe and i just got rid of all the viruses i had on my computer so if you know of a site without downloads or links it would be alot of help thanks

please can someone tell me a safe site where i can download “off the chain” it’s not on limewire. – i do not intend to sell or illegally distribute this movie it will be for home use only. i would preferre a site that has 700MB AVI version. thanks
